Hello and welcome to the website for my piano teaching studio in the Sault area. My name is Claudio Vanin, and I started these pages as a mainly local endeavour, to provide my students with links to useful online resources, such as ear training and theory aids, practice tips, and information on repertoire. Prospective students may also obtain information about their prospective teacher's background, as well as lesson fees and studio policies. For parents who are thinking of enrolling their children in piano lessons, I've compiled some information and suggestions that they may find useful to ponder, including tips on buying and maintaining a piano, and some recommendations for beginner books. For older students there's a wealth of information online about almost every aspect of piano study: histories of the instrument and its repertoire, information on composers and styles, on famous pianists, along with thousands of recordings to buy and volumes of sheet music to download, much of it free. I've started making lists of the better sites, and I'll try to keep adding to them as I come across more of good quality. So feel free to pause awhile and browse what is here so far, and don't hesitate to drop me a line if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments.
